Going from the big business, adult-only world of being an international tax attorney to crawling around on the floor with a camera making monkey sounds for children is one scenario Julie Floyd never imagined for herself 20 years ago. Yet, as with many professional women of the last decade, Julie discovered that doing what you love everyday is essential to personal happiness and success. Since her start, Julie has worked with thousands of children from all over the world. Her unique style and vision are widely credited with making modern children’s photography what it is today. One of her signature creations, “Baby Parts”, is now a classic and serves as inspiration to many others in her field. Julie is the founder of Classic Kids Photography, a photography company with nine studio locations nationwide, staffed by photographers hand picked and trained by Julie, who share her passion for photography and love of children. In addition to leading a national company, she is the mother of four boys ranging in age from 2 to 18, who have long served as inspiration in creating her art.
